The technical program will include
opening and closing plenary lectures,
fourteen keynote
lectures (including the Bingham lecture), contributed oral presentations
organized into sixteen
mini-symposia, and a poster session.
Two short courses will be offered on the weekend before the Congress, August 2 -
3.
Authors should submit abstracts for oral presentation by
November 15, 2007 using the
abstract
submission website. Authors will be informed of acceptance decision by
February 1, 2008. See section on
Congress Proceedings
below regarding the submission of three-page manuscript.
Each registered participant will be limited to one oral
presentation although multiple poster presentations will be permitted. Each
speaker must register by
April 15, 2008, otherwise the oral
presentation will not be included in the program.
Prospective presenters for posters should use the
abstract
submission website to submit abstracts by
February 29, 2008. Each poster presenter must register by
April 15, 2008, otherwise the
poster will not be included in the program.
Poster presenters need to bring hard copies of their posters to the Congress.
The Congress organizers will not provide printing facilities at the meeting for
posters. The maximum surface area of the posters is
44 inches high and
45 inches wide (111 cm
by 114 cm).
Students are encouraged to participate in the
Student Poster Competition.
The Congress Proceedings will be published by the American Institute of
Physics (AIP). Each participant will receive a fully functional, self-opening,
full-text searchable CD ROM at the Congress. AIP will also publish an online
version of the proceedings by the Congress. A bound volume can be purchased from
AIP at additional cost.
Authors of oral presentations are strongly encouraged to submit a three-page
manuscript. Submission of three-page manuscripts for poster presentations is
optional. The deadline for receipt of three-page manuscripts in PDF format is
April 15, 2008. See
